Long recognized as a pioneer of the Buyers’ Agent movement, Hugh Ryall was one of the first twelve individuals in the nation to be honored with induction into the National Association of Realtors Buyers Agents Hall of Fame.
He is a lifetime member of the Greater Columbia Association of Realtors Million Dollar Club, he has served extensively at the state and local levels for the South Carolina Real Estate Commission, the Greater Columbia Association of Realtors, and the South Carolina Association of Realtors. Ryall was one of seven Exclusive Buyer’s Agents from all over the country invited to Chicago by the National Association of Realtors to help establish the knowledge and criteria required to properly work as a Buyers’ Agent.
Not only has he been recognized nationally as an outstanding Buyers Representative, he is also a nationally recognized Speaker and Instructor. Twice named by Agency Law Quarterly as one of the Top 50 Agency Instructors in the country. He has been a featured speaker at the Real Estate Educators Association (REEA) National Convention and the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents (NAEBA) National Convention. In 1999, he was one of four instructors in the nation nominated as the National Real Estate Educator of the Year.

A native of Detroit, Michigan, Ryall attended Culver Military Academy and the University of Michigan. Ryall has been a Columbia resident since 1975. He is a member of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce, and Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church where he serves as a Stephen Ministers Leader and Instructor.
